Sarah Bishop attended University of Cincinnati’s College- Conservatory of Music where she earned her BFA in Musical Theater. While in school, she also attended various workshops including The School at Jacob’s Pillow Jazz/Musical Theatre Dance Program. Shortly after moving to New York City, she started touring with Roundabout Theatre Company’s Tony award winning production of Cabaret as Helga. She has also been seen in Geva Theatre Center’s The Other Josh Cohen and in Lincoln Park Performing Arts production of The Sound of Music as Maria. Other favorites include Elle in Legally Blonde and Lina Lamont in Singin In the Rain. She’s also can be heard on the cast album of The Other Josh Cohen, and has been in multiple workshops of upcoming Broadway productions.

Sarah Bishop not only nails the comedic genre, but also plays an instrument (or three) throughout the show. Add to this costume and wig changes, accents and movement, and the six-person ensemble is not only entertaining; they’re downright impressive.

Sarah Bishop had everyone around me in stitches through the entire show.  Her take on Lina Lamont was precisely what it needed to be – a girl who believes all of her own hype, possessing no real insight about her cognitive and vocal limitations.  Her comic timing was very very good.

Kirk Shepherd, The Sappy Critic

“Bishop maximized the melodrama in a most endearing way. She was a cross between Lucille Ball and Liza Minelli. The audience loved her and rewarded her efforts accordingly. She took us on an emotional roller coaster.”
